Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) Testing and Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR)
Brainstem auditory evoked response (BAER) is a test measuring brain wave activity occuring in response to clicks or specific tones. The goal of Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR) is creation of a statistically valid hearing test for patients unable or unwilling to participate in screening hearing tests. Unlike ABR, ASSR is also available for estimation of hearing loss greater than 70 decibels.
